At the beginning of July Playtech announced that they would be providing Mecca Bingo (part of Rank Group Plc) with an all new bingo game based upon the popular TV quiz show, Blockbuster. Through Virtue Fusion Alderney they will release the new Blockbuster Bingo game on Tuesday 20th July. This is the latest branded product from Playtech who create licensed games in various areas of their best breed product offering.

Blockbuster was originally created in the 1980s and was watched in homes across the country for almost two decades. In the game normal bingo numbers are replaced with letters which will be displayed on the trademark yellow hexagons, the game will also feature the signature music from the show.

In addition to the standard prizes, Blockbusters will offer a special 1TG feature game called ‘Gold Run’ which will be available for all players with one to go when the final prize of either c column or line is won. There will also be a Community Blockbusters Jackpot which can be won if the first five letters called are BING and O and they don’t have to come out in this order.
