Bingo News: Alderney Gambling Control Commission takes away Full Tilt Poker Licence

The Alderney Gambling Control Commission has announced that they have revoked the three licences belonging to Full Tilt Poker, following a private hearing which lasted nearly a week.

Licences held by Filco Limited, Vantage Limited and Oxalic Limited trading as Full Tily Poker were revoked, following examinations which showed that the domain had misled investifators with regards to their operational integrity.

“At a hearing held in London over six days, it emerged that Full Tilt Poker had fundamentally misled the Alderney Gambling Control Commission about its operational integrity by continuously reporting as liquid funds balances that had been covertly seized or restrained by US authorities or that were otherwise not actually available to the operator.” said a statement issued by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission.

“Serious breaches of Alderney Gambling Control Commission regulations include false reporting, unauthorised provision of credit and failure to report material events.”

Initially the regulator suspended Full Tilt Poker's licences back in June following informations from the US Department of Justice and the site then failed to satisfy the Alderney Gambling Control Commission that their activities both inside and outside of the US were all within the law.

At a later hearing in July, Full Tilt Poker asked for more time stating that they were looking for additional investment and were granted an extra 54 days.

A statement from the Alderney Gambling Control Commission read; “It is important to note that the revocation of Full Tilt Poker’s licences does not, as has been suggested, prevent a reactivation of the business under new ownership and management. Unresolved claims by players against Full Tilt Poker become a matter for the police and civil authorities. Now that Full Tilt Poker licences have been revoked, the Alderney Gambling Control Commission no longer has jurisdiction over these companies.”
