Bingo News: Bingo club in Blackpool still going strong
A family-run bingo club in Blackpool is celebrating it 35th anniversary and is still going strong despite bingo hall closures up and down the country. John Bottomley opened the Empire Bingo in Haweside Lane, Marton in 1965. "My dad was one of the first people to bring bingo to Blackpool and although everyone has been struggling at the moment, our loyal customers and staff keep us going." John revealed.
The family run business put their success down to the continued support from their loyal customers and the working atmosphere for their staff.
The club believe they will continue to succeed with it's food, friendly service and big national "link" jackpot game which is played simultaneously at club all over the UK.
