Bingo News: Granada Bingo Hall Worker Shot

BBC news have reported that a bingo worker in Dovecot, Liverpool, was shot in the leg by youths in the car park of Granada bingo hall on Saturday night.

The police have said that the 65 year old man had confronted the youths on a motorbike in the car park outside the bingo hall building. After following the motorbike one of the two youths pulled out what is believed to be a handgun. Shots were fired and he suffered a minor wound to his leg when he was struck by one of the four shots that was fired at him. He was taken to hospital to recover.

Merseyside Police Detective Cheif Inspector Richie Davies said: "This was a cowardly and violent attack on a man who had been to work at the local bingo hall. Fortunately he suffered only minor injuries to his leg and is recovering in hospital".

Forensic tests have been carried out at the crime scene outside of the Granada bingo hall. Police have been carrying out door to door investigations and have appealed for anyone with any information to come forward.
