Bingo News: Online Bingo boosts 888 Holdings Income
888 Holdings Plc who run online bingo sites such as 888ladies 888bingo and the recently acquired Wink Bingo have just released their fourth quarter results and yearly results for 2009.
An increase in operating income of 14% from 2008 helped along by their new bingo sites and the new B2B division – Dragonfish who saw a rise of 36% in operating income from the previous year.
The Wink Bingo acquisition is already bringing in good revenue and profit. Dragonfish also signed a deal with Linden Lab (Second Life) to offer e-payments processing which has contributed to the operating income.
CEO Gigi Levy stated: “We are pleased that the fourth quarter saw a return to a stronger trading, with 14% top-line growth compared to 2008 and 12% quarter on quarter. Overall, trading during the quarter was strong across the business. Dragonfish continues its impressive growth, and in B2C Casino an emerging offering were particularly strong, with poker also returning to growth quarter on quarter. Our positive momentum continues into 2010 and supported by the successful Wink acquisition and our various business initiatives, we expect to grow the business further during the current year."
