Online bookmakers, Paddy Power has just signed a deal with the Callcredit Information Group to utilise their customer verification software to check the identities of players joining their online betting site.  Paddy Power have said that the software will verify customer identities from 130 nations worldwide in real time, in the hope of preventing under-age players joining the site and to fight fraud.

This new system will process player files provided by Paddy Power in bulk, they will then be given a pass or fail decision using data sourced from international sources and UK records such as court judgements, the electoral register and insolvency data.
