Bingo News: Playtech to buy out Virtue Fusion

Playtech the online casino and poker operator have bought out Virtue Fusion, a top online bingo software supplier for a reported sum of £36 Million. This deal should ensure Playtech strengthen their position in the world of online international bingo. Online bingo has seen a bit of a boom recently with many new sites appearing all the time, it seems everyone wants to get in on the act.

Virtue Fusion have some big names under their belt including William Hill, Ladbrokes Bingo and Paddy Power Bingo. This new deal will no doubt spell the beginning of a few more bingo site launches over the next few months. Virtue Fusion have been busy in the last 2 months having already completed two major deals over this time period and begs the question why would they sell now?
Online bingo is definitely one of the fastest growing industries in the online gaming sector and is a traditional favourite both in the bingo halls as well as online. The UK has a large online bingo market compared to other countries.
Partygaming who own Foxy Bingo also closed a deal with Virtue Fusion in recent weeks and Cashcade were also bought out so there’s every chance more names could soon follow suit and sell to Virtue Fusion. The future of bingo looks to be full of change but one thing is certain, bingo is increasing in popularity and looks set to stay as one of our favourite past times.
