Bingo News: William Hill calm their Tel Aviv dispute

Just last week 180 staff of the William Hill Online Tel Aviv venture walked out in a dispute that made the news. It is business as usual again in the company’s Bulgaria and Israel operations following 7 senior managers leaving their positions.

These losses came after talks between William Hill Chief Executive Ralph Topping and Playtech's chief Mor Weizer. William Hill own 71% of William Hill online with the difference being held by Playtech Limited the software provider giant.

There have been whispers of a rival business being set up by a group of the senior managers at William Hill online and according to the Daily Telegraph, the investigators looking into the unrest last week have said they “found plans for a rival business that a rabbi, fish feeder and hairdresser were on the books.”

Playtech Chief Executive Mor Weizer is encouraging the resolution of this dispute saying this on Tuesday night: “Having been asked by Ralph Topping, to assist, I am very pleased that this issue is now behind William Hill Online. It is very positive for both shareholders that the business can now continue to move forward.”

William Hill will post their quarter results this week.
