Hopa is a rather strangely-named but actually quite impressive specialist scratchcard site. It’s actually a white label site sporting a format you’ll find on a few other sites, but it’s still a fairly original presentation and you’ll find a greater range and higher quality of scratchcards here than anywhere else on the web, as the platform is provided by NeoGames, who are currently kings of the online instant win industry and look, at present, to be unassailable for the foreseeable future.

As with its sister sites, the browser-based lobby looks a little dated, and almost seems to undersell itself by using too many gentle pastel shades. The games are, without a doubt, quite brilliant. Goal Kick lets you line up balls and shoot some highly-convincing penalties; 100m Champion gives you a 7 sprinters to beat in a very impressive athletics stadium, or why not step up to the oche and throw a few arrows in the pub in Darts? It’s all good old-fashioned fun and the games really evoke the feel of the event that you’re meant to be watching far more accurately than you’d imagine.

Obviously there are slots and casino games here as well, but – without any disrespect to Hopa – they are not why you’d come here. Whilst they’re more than adequate they’re just a diversion from the instant win riches that are to be found.

The games are the best in their category and they have the best selection as well, though you may find other NeoGames sites that are a little more forthcoming about withdrawal methods. Nonetheless it’s an enjoyable place to spend time and the free £5 would be enough to tempt us without knowing the cashout rules…
