Jet Bingo Review

Jet Bingo is that rarest of things: A virtual bingo hall that you actually have to download. With nearly every other bingo site out there offering perfectly decent browser-based play this site needed to serve up something truly out-of-the-ordinary to impress us.

First of all there was a lengthy download procedure - it took lots of time and eventually we gave up after being told it had downloaded even though we couldn’t see it anywhere, though it had actually opened in another window. Once it was up and running we were taken to a fancy 3d entrance lobby, which is meant to be quite impressive, though it only stayed on the screen for a split second and we couldn’t get it to reappear.

There are tabs for bingo, slots, the casino and mini-games. The bingo lobby had four games in it: three 75 ball games, Megabingo and the Newbies game, though we couldn’t check out anything except the Newbies game without making a deposit. Once you’re in the games themselves, the visuals are sharp, detailed and professional-looking, though quite why there was a slot game taking up more room than the bingo and in a more prominent position than the cards themselves was initially beyond us – in fact, this area can be set with smaller tabs to whatever you want, so it can show your bingo cards if you wish, though they’re clearly keen for you to play the slots – and they are nice. Very nice, in fact:Once you open the slots tab up properly and get them working to full effect they’re among the very best you’ll see on a bingo site with virtually all others coming nowhere close.

The chat moderator on the game we were in was very gung ho, wishing everyone lots of luck and welcoming everybody with open arms, capital letters and endless text speak, though no-one else seemed to be joining in with her.

In order for this site to really be worth downloading, the bingo needed to be exceptional. Given the hype surrounding the 3d effects on this download we thought we get a radically-different bingo experience, though in fact it’s just the game lobbies that have the fancy 3d graphics, and they’re only around for a split second. The bingo is good enough, though more games would have been nice – and the slots were fabulous, and totally original, so if you’re desperate for the best slots to play between games then you might want to consider coming here – otherwise it’s a lot of fuss to go to when you could just play in your browser elsewhere.

One thing that was helped by the download was the ability to customise the games, by setting window sizes, audio options and more – but to be honest that was about the only advantage we could find. This is the only download bingo halls we’ve ever tested, and probably the last as even the most technically advanced casino games are moving to browser play now, so if you’re into trying out every bingo experience on the web then you’ll want to add this to your collection.
