Super Scratch Review

Superscratch is a rather oddly-named site as it actually offers all sorts of games, though with a total of over 80 scratchcards to choose from it’s fair to say that it has more of these than any other site we’ve ever encountered. It uses software from NeoGames, which is renowned for offering up the best scratchcards in the business despite not being able to compete with software giants like Microgaming or Playtech for up-to-the-minute slot technology.

Generally, the site has a quirky feel to it: Its use of blue colouring and gold stars for its logo is reminiscent of the EU flag, giving it a European flavour; otherwise it has a workmanlike vibe to it, with winners’ details constantly scrolling along the top and heavy use of tabs for navigation. It all comes across as very no-nonsense, which is actually quite refreshing.

In common with most decent gaming sites these days there is no need to download, and practice play is made very easy indeed with the option to do so offered right up front without having to register - which we highly appreciated.

Superscratch take deposits through 19 different sources, though we couldn’t get to the essential information until we clicked on the tiny Visa logo at the very bottom of the intro page, otherwise we’d never have known their banking policy. It’s actually pretty good, with a full range of debit, credit and prepayment cards permitted along with cash vouchers and e-wallets. The withdrawal process uses 9 of these, though, and they all take a minimum of 6 days to reach you – that’s 5 days longer than some sites take, so bear this in mind if you want your winnings quickly.

The endless scratchcards are great, with solid visuals and fun musical backgrounds to spice things up. There are so many of them that they have to divide them up into different categories: Sports, Fantasy, Classic etc each get a set of their own cards which never happens on any other site – even the industry giants like Playtech and IGT never have this many.

The other games are good enough, but if you come here it’s because you’re a scratchcard lover as they really do beat the rest hands down in that category. It’s way more fun than many people realise…

Superscratch have their own CARE policy: Customers Are Really Everything. It may sound like something David Brent would come up with, but they’re clearly making the effort and offer 24-hour phone, email and even fax support. Sadly there’s no chat facility, but you do get the impression that there would be if their budget would allow for one...

Generally-speaking, we really liked this site. Despite its old-school HTML appearance once you get to the scratchcards they’re the best selection around. You get the impression Superscratch are an

independent outfit bravely competing with the big boys and as such come across as mildly heroic in a David and Goliath sort of way, punching well above their weight and all the more likeable for it.
