Bede Gaming needs staff, after Mecca Bingo deal

Bede Gaming is likely going to be on the hunt for new staff, following its deal to power the financial systems of Mecca Bingo in the future. The firm believes it may be handling as many as six million transactions per day, double what it currently does.

The new deal would see Bede Gaming need an additional 75 staff members to help process payments at Mecca Bingo. Bede Gaming’s deal was signed with the Rank Group and will not only cover Mecca Bingo, but also all Grosvenor Casinos, which are also operated by the Rank Group.

Based in Newcastle, Bede Gaming currently have 120 capable staff working for them, but the expansion deal will see them required more members to cater for the online transactions, players registrations, deposits, withdrawals and gameplay stats.

Bede Gaming will also get to offer some of its own games and third party titles to casino and bingo sites run by the Rank Group. The deal is also thought to see Rank get to transform its land-based bingo games and casino titles (such as slots) into online games at their sites, using Bede technology.

Software developers are going to be high up on Bede Gaming’s list, with as many as 50 people potentially needed in that department. Turnover is expected to be around £8m for the year, which is up a massive £3.5m on last year, mainly due to the deal with the Rank Group. It could be even larger next year.

It is thought that the amazing deal with Rank will push Bede Gaming into a larger scope, with more online gaming businesses eager to do deals with them in the future. Bede Gaming recently won the EGR (eGaming Review) award for Bingo Supplier of the Year, and many are predicting a very bright future for this fledgling company, which only launched three years ago.
