By Becky Mosley - January 16 2009

Barack Obama’s step mother is a bingo fan from Bracknell, Berkshire and is launching a brand new charity bingo game at Gala Bingo.

Kezia Obama, 67, will have her own game named ‘Mrs Obama’s Bingo’ at Gala Bingo. Mrs Obama was a frequent visitor to local bingo halls in Berkshire

The bingo game will be available to play between 14th-23rd January 2009. For every £1 that is spent on playing the game 10p will be donated to Sue Ryder Care.

The charity bingo game is going to help to raise funds for Sue Ryder Care. The charity was founded in 1953 by Sue Ryder and was formally known as the Sue Ryder Foundation. There are 17 care centres around the UK and a Homecare service also which provide care for people suffering with Cancer, Dementia, Parkinson’s Disease, Brain injury and Motor Neurone Disease. Sue Ryder Care also supports 30 projects in 12 countries around Europe and in Malawi.

Mrs Obama said “I am delighted to help Gala Bingo raise funds for the Sue Ryder Care charity. It is a really positive way of celebrating Barack’s inauguration.”

Obama’s step mother also commented on her son saying “I’m so proud of him.”

Support Sue Ryder Care by playing bingo at Gala Bingo until 23rd January 2009. It is great to see bingo sites supporting such compassionate charities.
