There’s not long til the new England coach is announced, the FA are being typically tight lipped about their decision so 888 Ladies decided to poll their members and see who they would choose!
888 Ladies surveyed 2500 woman across the country to find out who they thought would do a better job than Capello and ensure our boys are up to scratch by 2014.
Over half (59%) of the women asked thought Big Brother presenter Davina McCall would be the best person for the job whilst 24% thought Carol McGriffin of the Loose Women would fit the bill. Katie Price surprisingly got 11% of the vote and there was a paltry 6% who voted for pop Princess, Lily Allen.
One 888 Lady said that Davina’s maternal side would bring out the best in our lads who seem to have been overcome with personal issues and back stabbing over the last year or so. Another thought Carol MGriffin would kick the boys into touch and have them firmly focused on their football and nothing else. Katie Price was a surprising choice considering the public backlash directed at her since she split with Peter Andre.
When asked to choose a man to replace Fabio Capello, the 45% of 888 Ladies thought Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles would be up to the job, 31% said businessman and Apprentice star, Alan Sugar would be perfect and 24% thought funny man James Corden was made for the role of England coach.
I wasn’t too surprised to see Chris Moyles name crop up as I regularly pop his breakfast show on in the mornings to perk myself up and given the job of England coach, I’m sure Chris would have the team in good spirits just like he did when he conquered Kilimanjaro for Comic Relief.
